I got to Heathrow airport and couldn’t get through as I didn’t have a connection flight booked out of the country. They suggested I book my return ticket or that I could get a cheap flight to Kathmandu. I wanted to go to Nepal so why the hell not. As soon as I got through customs I googled the temperature in Nepal in April and it’s the hottest month of the year. Win.win.win.
So I’m sat waiting for my flight and for the adventure to begin. Despite my jittery hands and on and off quivering bottom lip I leave with my head held high and my heart full of love. A confidence that I have the inner resources to deal with this trip and a reminder that if I feel like freaking out to sit in the moment and remember that everything right now is ok. The process of booking this trip has been an excellent lesson in appreciating what I have at home. Amazing friends and a life to be proud of.
My aspirations for my trip are to be curious, be safe, walk the path right for me and most importantly to love and care for myself.
Big love x
